Nippers Nook is a homely riverside hideaway for holidays in Snowdonia, where your private veranda overlooks a meandering river, trees & countryside.
The wood & slate cabin is in an ideal location for exploring the mountains, rivers & walks in Snowdonia, the beaches of Gwynedd and Anglesey and visiting the famous castles & attractions in North Wales. It is laid out on one level, and has undergone lovely kitchen & bathroom refurbishments for the 2024 season.
Your accommodation is approximately one mile from Caernarfon Castle, and approximately 10 minutes drive from Llanberis, Anglesey, Dinas Dinlle beach on the Llyn Peninsula, & Caernarfon Airport.
Nipper’s Nook is situated on the Glan Gwna Country Holiday Park. The chalet is available from March to December and ideal for holidays and weekend getaways. Lovely and cosy for spring & winter breaks and throughout the summer, from May to September, our guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool, pub-restaurant, friendly cafe & takeaway, and on-site shop that open throughout the season.
You can simply while away the hours enjoying peace and quiet relaxation at Nippers Nook, or create exciting holiday adventures by exploring the beauty and attractions of North Wales.
Whether you prefer walking, hiking, fishing, family holidays, beaches or the other many attractions of North Wales such as Zip World, this comfortable cabin makes the perfect base, or as a bolt hole to simply rest, relax and wind down.
You’ll find the location and the home comforts of this 2 bedroomed lodge style retreat, combine to help to make Nippers Nook the ideal location to explore and re-charge your batteries.

Nippers Nook is normally available to book for short breaks of 2 nights (mid week) or 3 nights or more when enjoying a weekend break between March and December. During peak season and popular Bank Holiday times we operate a four night minimum. We offer a discount when you book for 7 nights or more
Peak Period Late Availability Breaks. The school holidays tend to fill up very, very quickly. During Easter, May Bank Holidays, July & August please check our booking calendar for limited Late Availability Breaks that may be offered in-between our peak period 4 night minimum bookings.
2 Bedrooms – 1 Classic Double room with riverside views plus 2nd Twin Bedroom with 2 singles.
We supply hand towels & bedding.
Living room area has a 3 seater and 2 seater sofas, a footstool, and folding dining table & chairs. There’s wi-fi, a basic TV plus games & books to enjoy.
The sliding door gives you access to the enclosed private veranda, which overlooks the river area. There’s a gate access from the veranda to the riverside.
Lovely new kitchen for 2024 season- well equipped kitchen area.
Shower Room has been refurbished for the 2024 season
Electricity Cards : The property has a card meter. We leave a £5 electricity top-up card for you to use on arrival. You will also need to purchase card(s) to use during your visit. On arrival please check the reading on arrival & insert your top up card. Cards of £5, £10 and £20 are available to buy onsite from Reception, the onsite Shop, Cafe and Poolside bar. On departure please try to leave a small amount of credit on the meter for the next guests. Thank you.

Absolutely loved it here with our family with 3 children (13,11 and 5)…. Arrived to such a thoughtful welcome basket with treats for the kids and also noticed the fridge had the necessities such as milk, cheese etc… and even bread in the kitchen! This was a huge help after travelling! The place itself was SPOTLESS!! And so cosy…. The electric fire really made it feel like home. The kids loved the games that were already there, as-well as magazines and DVD’s. We were so lucky to get great weather, and the pool was open and busy. Friendly staff at the Clubhouse with entertainment for both kids and adults 
. The park area and pool really created a holiday atmosphere, and the nearby towns had some lovely attractions such as the castle, the marina (with a lovely tapas restaurant – La Marina) and a great theme park suitable for all ages (i think it was called greenwood forest) – luckily there was already pamphlets there for us to explore what we wanted to do, and the beach was so much closer than we thought. The riverside setting was just amazing…. The kids had their bikes with them, so we just chilled in the sunshine with the BBQ going watching the kids cycling around and paddling in the river. I’m not usually one for this type of break/holiday, but this place has really changed my outlook and I enjoyed it thoroughly – We will definitely be returning very soon!! Loved every part of it! Just returned from a wonderful stay at Nippers Nook. Spotlessly clean chalet in a beautiful location near the river. Our 3 children loved to explore safely whilst we relaxed and got the bbq ready.The weather was wonderful so we travelled to beaches on Anglesey and Pwllheli and we visited Caernarfon Castle.Booking and communication was really easy and the chalet had everything we needed, including little extras like milk, nibbles and cleaning products. We will definitely be visiting again.
